The Athlete Record

A club records the season.
The athlete keeps it.

Every club your athlete plays for keeps its own book. Drabble™ gives the athlete one record that gathers all of those into a single career — across clubs, across sports, across seasons — and that stays theirs when they move on.

How it fits together

Each club keeps its book. The athlete keeps the career.

badge The athlete’s record
Every sport, every club, every season — totals, bests and a game log, with each line labelled by the club that recorded it.

The statistics never leave the club that recorded them. The athlete’s record reads across them, which is why it can show a career no single club can see.

Why it holds

Four things that make it a record and not a report.

shield

A club can’t delete it

Once an athlete has claimed their record, the games behind it cannot be destroyed by the club that recorded them — the software refuses. A club leaving Drabble cannot take the athlete’s season with it.

gavel

The claim is the consent

Nothing is gathered without the athlete or their guardian claiming that card first, and a claim is a two-party handshake. Being able to see a public page never makes someone its owner.

It survives the move

New club, new coach, new sport, new season. A new card can be joined to the record the day it is created, so the history follows rather than restarting.

public

One page, one address

A public @handle page the athlete controls — and chooses what it shows. Send one link instead of six screenshots.

Being straight with you

What this is, and what it isn’t.

The record is only as complete as what gets recorded, so here is exactly where the line sits.

  • Watching is free. Owning is what you pay for. Anyone can open a public game page with live score, box score and play-by-play without an account. Gathering a season into a career record is the paid part.
  • Somebody has to record the game. If the club tracks in Drabble, those games flow into the record. If they don’t, an athlete can record their own — rounds, matches and races — but we cannot conjure a season nobody kept.
  • We don’t do film. No streaming, no automatic highlight reels, no video breakdown. Photos and video attach to the plays they belong to; that is the whole of it.
  • Depth varies by sport today. Golf has the complete performance suite; volleyball and football are substantial; the other eight get the standard reports while we build them up to the same standard.

Redeem the claim code from the club, or ask for the card by handle. Either way both sides confirm.

Join the clubs

Each club they play for links into the one record. A new card can join the day a coach creates it.
