Why Drabble Is Different
Most software organises a season.
Drabble keeps a career.
Sports software generally takes one of four forms. Drabble is built around the athlete’s record rather than a single team’s season, which changes what the product can do.
The four shapes
What is already out there.
Each form is effective within its scope.
The team-stats app
Scores a game, shows a live feed, often streams. Typically originated in a single sport.
The catch: the record belongs to the team. Change club and it starts again.
The single-sport tool
Deep and specialised within one sport.
The catch: a second sport means a second product, a second bill, a second login.
The film platform
Video, breakdown and recruiting reach, priced at the upper end of the market.
The catch: hundreds to thousands per team, quoted rather than published.
The team organiser
Calendars, RSVPs and messaging for team logistics.
The catch: statistics are an afterthought, and the organising itself is the paid product.
The difference
What follows from an athlete-centred record.
The record outlives the club
One record across every club, sport and season. Once an athlete has claimed it, the club that recorded those games cannot delete them; the restriction is enforced in the application.
How the athlete record works →Eleven sports, each with its own book
Each sport has its own typed statistics and scoring rules: volleyball scores rotations, golf records strokes by lie, cross country sums places. The coaching library carries between 43 and 57 courses per sport.
See what each sport captures →Running the team costs nothing
Calendar, RSVP with account-free replies for families, automated reminders, announcements and emergency contacts, included on every plan at no cost.
What the free team tools do →The stats know what to practise
2,533 drills and lessons sit in the same application as the statistics, so a practice plan can be drafted directly from recorded game data.
Inside the coaching library →Safeguarding and privacy by construction
The application contains no private messaging, so no private adult–athlete channel exists. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising analytics and no facial recognition, and written recaps are generated on hardware Drabble operates rather than sent to a third-party model.
Read the privacy policy →Evaluate on a full season.
The free plan has no time limit. A full season can be recorded on it before any purchase.
